Pope Francis chose to be buried in the Pauline Chapel

A faithful reproduction of that sacred image, created by Bottega Tifernate at his request, is today the only painting ever allowed in the Vatican’s Madonna Room, the place where private papal audiences are held.

It is the first time since the 16th century that a new artwork has been placed there.

The Pope himself asked that our pictographic reproduction be installed there, so that future Popes could also contemplate it. A lasting testimony of faith and beauty.
