Description
The allegorical characters of the painting are lined up on the foreground of a dark and backlit landscape. In fact, on the right Zephyr reaches and embraces the Nymph Chloris who appears again on the left in the form of Flora dressed in flowers. In the center are then depicted Venus and Cupid who throws the dart of love. The three Graces also dance on the left dressed in transparent veils. Finally, Mercury raises his right arm and touches a cloud with his caduceus. Finally, the lawn is strewn with flowers and herbs while orange fruits are painted among the branches of the trees.
